There is no definate answer. Astrologists and scientists are trying to figure that out.

There is one theory that the universe does have bounds, but it is expanding at a high rate.

Personally, I like to think that the universe is limitless. Even if it isn't, we'll never know. If the universe does come to an end, what's on the other side? Some schools of thought say that there are infinately many parallel universes, some slightly different than the next, and others radically different. Could those be beyond the bounds of our universe?

No, space is an non-living thing that we only live inside and no-one knows how to end this space because it's way beyond the distance limit. The battery of the space is the sun, because it creates planets and living beings, will end in next billion years so you don't have to worry about it because that year is way too long. No one survives as billion years old!

Space does not come to an end. People on this earth many years ago used to think it was flat and you could fall off the end of it. However, it is round and if you walked from one point in a straight line you would end up back in the same place. If you had told these people that they would not be able to understand. This is what space is like, but our brains can not understand it. But if you did travel in a straight line into space you would end up back in the same spot.

I believe the most common view is that while finite, it curves back on itself, so there is no edge.

Let me give some examples.

Consider a circle. in a circle we have a one dimensional 'space' - the line - that curves back on itself. If you imagine the circle being a piece of string, and an ant walking along it, the path in either direction curves back on itself.

Now lets consider a two dimensional space that curves on itself - the surface of a balloon. If you imagined an ant walking around the balloons surface, there is no 'final edge'. It curves back on itself. Another interesting point - imagine the balloon is being inflated. It is getting bigger - but there's still no edge. If you drew some dots on the balloon, as it inflated, every dot would be moving away from every other dot.

We covered a one dimensional line that loops back on itself, and a two dimensional surface (balloon) that curves back on itself. now try to imagine a three dimensional space that curves back on itself. I find that pretty difficult myself, but I appear to be living in one anyway. Much like the expanding balloon, the universe appears to be expanding - with all points moving away from each other, and no apparant 'edge'.

Well, sort of... the universe is described as "finite but unbounded" which means that although at any given instant the universe is a specific size, it is expanding at the speed of light, so you could never ever get to the edge of it because in order to do that you would have to exceed the speed of light, which would then make you go backwards in time and become anti-matter. When you slow down to below the speed of light and encounter regular matter again, it won't be pretty, but guys would love the way it looks in a movie: KABOOM!

Space is infinite, just as God is, but God is moreso, because after all He Created all things, even the Universe. Only our human minds cannot comprehend such an amazing fact. Nothing came from nothing, nothing ever did or ever will. But The Lord God Almighty always has been and always will be, which means that it might come to an end at some distant point, but our brains are not equiped to accept that, or explain it.

Only by putting your Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, can you begin to accept all these things and as you walk with God the Holy Spirit will educate you about the things you don't understand. It's so simple, but it's true.
God Bless You

I just cannot' visualize infinity, but to think of an universe with a definite limit it's impossible.
What would there be on the other side of the edge if space is a void?

When anything get to the End of space. It will show a reflection
of the universe itself...like looking into a mirror....

The matter in the universe might stop somewhere, but space itself can't possibly end.

Yes and no - this is the old, is the universe infinite, question again!!!

The universe does have an edge because it is expanding from a point, but the edge is receeding faster than the speed of light so you can never reach it.
