have lost 2 sons.who can I speak to directly to check if their identities are being used by crininals?

my two sons died in 1991 and 1989 so having read all the stories about I.D. theft I got concerned , hope this clarifies some points.

Criminals very often carry out financial activities which in society are considered as money laundering. You can refer to the FATF - Financial Activity Task Force (this is widely used by banks around the world) and ask whether there are any names (eg your sons) listed within this force.
Should you have serious doubts that these can be used, ask the FATF to include both names in their list.

The chances are very slim but if you are concerned you can get credit reports on their Social Security Number...

In the US... if you are outside the US I guess it works differently...

Nobody, there is no organisation that can answer this. Identity fraud is found out after the event unfortunately.
