Can you compare ? Innit boring to stay on one small island ?

depends on what you are after but it can be boring if you do not want straight r&r . I might suggest grand cayman, there is a lot to do there besides sit on the beach, another fave of mine is the bahamas as they have vegas style casinos with big name entertainers,so when you tire of the beautiful beaches , hit the casinos

i have been to all them places and true to what you say when you can go around the island walking in 30 min or less it can be boring.having said that if in the maldives you go scuba diving 2 to 3 times a day you will not get bored

i have visited the maldives and mexico and the carib are much better
