Basically sugar is natural, sweeteners aren't. I'd rather eat something that was grown from the ground than made by men in factories. Just don't over do it on the sugar, like everything else, moderation is the key.
And you'll find that some research shows that sweetners have been proved to have carconergenic properties.
Stick with the sugar

Sugar! Firstly sweetener increases the appetite on a person and therefore results in more weight gain. Too much sweetener also leads to harmful diseases such as cancer & tumours. Sugar is healthy in at least one way, sweetener is poison.....Sugar 1, Sweetener 0!

For sodas, choose those made with Splenda. Splenda has the fewest reported side effects.
For other drinks, the BEST answer is a natural sweetener with no calories. Stevia is one such product. It is totally natural and has no calories. I'd recommend the liquid version if you can find it, because the powder form tends to clump when added to cold drinks (it is fine in hot drinks).

Sweeteners are better for the health than sugar. There is almost nothing as bad for the human body as refined sugars. (not counting smoking, heroin, etc.)

Sugar is bad for you. Sweetners are very very bad for you. Try to gradually cut down on your sugar intake and look for a natural way to sweeten.

Me.
i'd rather do without, i won't die if i never eat sugar again.
i've also heard sweetners, can carry health risks.
2 me nothing is worth risking my health 4.
but i know i'm lucky as i don't have a sweet-tooth.
stick 2 what u can trust,
a tiny bit of sugar, occasionally can't do that much harm.
just try 2 resist the urge 2 over-do it.
