Do you think it is worth an individuals time to be passionate about Politics & Government in this day and age. There is a ever increasing level of detachment between the vote eligible public and the government of Britain which doesn't appear to be closing.

How could we let the voters know that Politics is still relevant to them and that they should be more involved?

Yes, but you have to do more than just vote; we need to know what the candidates are really doing with our tax dollars, then get involved. Do volunteer work for the candidates you believe in. Another option if you don't like the choices, run yourself or get someone you think would be good. Making politics work is no easy job, but it's better than sitting back watching these people rob us blind.

Hold before them the example of the United States. Voter apathy and inattention have led the US Congress and President to enact unConstitutional legislation that chips away at the foundation of our Republic. Tell them to watch as the United States slides into tyranny.

Is that what they want, for Britain?

excellent question, I think more referendums on the big issues would empower the people again, and show them they can make a difference. e.g this bloody veil thing that wont go away, lets stop arguing about it, let the country vote on it and then forget about it.

from this time forward any changes for the better will be acheived by ordinary people, the politicions may claim the glory for it, but you bet your sweet life all the best ideas will come from ordinary folk, as the politicions own methods fail them more and more.
