Thongs are comfortable. I hate having to pull underwear out of my butt all day long. If I wear a pair of underwear and I'm pulling the wedge out half the day then they are going in the trash when I get home.

Thongs are sexy and comfortable. Wear them everyday for many years!
Granny panties need to be retired...they go up the butt anyways (pulling wedgies...not good) and they create very unattractive panty lines.

If you mean panties, thongs with thinner straps are comfortable. Wide straps are less comfortable.
If you mean flip-flops, those are comfortable, too.
