Do cows actually sleep standing up so can you actually tip them over when they are asleep or is this just an urban (pardon the irony) myth.

The real trick to cow tipping is taking city kids out in the country. Tell them everybody out of the car, and when they start walking to the pasture. The country kids get into the car and drive off. lol

Part myth, part real. The fact is, teenagers get really bored in rural areas. I have my doubts about it being possible. I have some friends who have participated. Usually they wind up getting poo on them, so it works out evenly from the poor cows perspective. I have ever felt the need to do this myself. Cows do it too!: "In January 2009, a cow reportedly knocked a woman off her bike and stepped on her legs in Boulder, Colorado. The Associated Press wrote that, "It's not another instance of cow-tipping. In this case, it was the cow that did the tipping." The woman was not seriously injured. Other news sources cited the incident as the result of a "Cow engaging in people-tipping."

the people who don't know the center of gravity for a cow think it's a myth. if you try tipping a cow too high or low it won't fall over.

Cows and horses can sleep standing up. Cow tipping is not a myth. I have known people who have done it. (Young Farmers, who ought to have known better!)

It is very true, my friend is a farmer's daughter and her cows have been targeted. Also if you ever see a sheep on its back roll it over coz they cant get up and the birds will peck their eyes out.

Yes, my mom has told me she went "cow tipping" when their neighbors used to have cows!

No, people are just finding excuses to be creul. I bet those are the people that drink the milk of a cow too that do or used to do these things. If someone would get doing that in Wi, the farmer would shoot them, no problem.
