And if it is about to end, will you rejoice or mourn it's death knowing that nothing like this will ever happen again?

I think the age of the "reality celebrity" is almost over as every one has got fed up with the big brother ones now especially as this years lot have behaved so bad outside of house. I will not mourn their death good rriddens to bad rubbishe.
I do think we still need our singer/actors the true real artists to keep us entertained but they will have freedom soon to walk the streets unmobed as now we just do not care and unfortunatly reality is to blame for that.

Is the age of the celebrity nearly over? YES, too many celebritys like sticking there noses and business where it dont belong. POLITICS. There paid to act on film or other media, not to rant and rave over politics. Too many are seeing their careers plummet into the toilet becuase the publically talk about politics and not what were paying them for. It will be a rejoiceful day when there are no more celebrities out there, seeing who can fu&% who, or date who, or can get arrested for DUI 6 times, or see who can adopt the most african pygmy children. WHO CARES?

Celebrity will continue to exist while we still r obsessed with gossip , looks and fashion. The amount of celebrity magazines is growing at an alarming rate and these days newspapers are filled with celebrities instead of news. It's not about to end because we as a society won't let it but i think maybe we should.

It seems to be going there but it may still take some time, and over exposure of many dumb boring people in the media to bring this about (like internet celebrities) even though I do think some stars deserve some recognition for their skills.

It's not over. How can it nearly be over when 'ordinary' people become 'celebrities'?

With all those reality tv shows. It seems all those weirdos are trying their best, some succeeding at that, to stay more than their 15 min.

I hope so.
I shall be extremely happy not to see over paid & over rated nobodies all over papers & magazines.
They get paid to do a job, who cares who their sleeping with??
Showing them going in or out of rehab or showing photos of some anorexic bimbo just makes young kids think it's OK to be like their idols.
Bring on the end of celebrityism I say

Wouldn`t that be lovely ? It irritates me that those people earn so much money for being `nobody` and doing `nothing`. No brains, no talent. It is our fault, at least the fault of those who buy the celeb magazines etc.

No. If the fans are still there then the age of the celebrity will be there also.
