he's 25 and he's really into motorsports or extreme sports but im clueless when it comes to that stuff and he likes to party and drink also.

It doesnt necessarily have to be the thing he likes,that way is a tad boring - he would have expected it.
How about something unpredictable.
Something that you think he thinks you will never get it for him
this Christmas - SURPRISE!
Thatd definitely make him go gaga.

First you need to find out the things he is interested in. I am sure he has some favorites or some kind of a collection. Or give him something that you two can have like a couple ring or chain. Or if you are Westerners, a new winter outfit will do. When we give presents, there are only two things to consider, giving that person the things he is interested in or giving that person things that we really love and your reason is just to have him those things to keep.

Well, with men food is always good, or something to drink.
A practical gift for a lot of men is a box of socks(white sport ones, dressy, etc). After 4 months you should know his clothing style.
If he has a certain hobby, something to do with that. A new book for his stamp collection or a book about the hobby.
Also in that direction maybe a photo of you somehow involed in that hobby. I have a freind who loves Harley motorcycles, his girlfriend did a whole calendar of pictures of her in a variety of poses with motorcycles(OK, he could not show all of them to his Mother, but she did geta marriage offer out of him!).
One other suggestion, if you can get him into a mall see what he re-acts to. If it happens to be Victoria's Secret, well then get yourself a nice gift and 'show it' to him for Christmas!
