its because skin needs to breath for cell renewal and if u dont wash off the make up,it will clogg the facial pores leadin to pimples,uneven skin,dirt,rashes,oily-ness etc
n who wants to have such a face?

Because the makeup can clog your pores and then you get ZITS, bleugh.
There's probably a much more scientific answer out there though.
