or start to dislike them if this happens sometimes.......
We have a mutual friend, he is my age and Ive known him for years. When we are together and chatting he will sometimes grab hold of me, pick me up and squeeze me, more so when we've been drinking, it's very innocent, I guess he's just more of a touchy feely person.
When he brings a new girlfriend along, I feel uncomfortable about him doing that, not that there's anything in it, I worry that his partner wouldn't like him doing that and start to dislike me, do you think you'd feel like that, or is it just me being paranoid?

This is just what people mean when they say the British are reserved. I do not know if you are British but please accept your friend as he is and thank god for his ability to reach out and hug his friends, hold them close and not be embarrassed about it. We all need a dose of whatever he has. If his girlfriends have a problem with him being so touchy/feely it is for them to speak to him about, and maybe they would not be right for him. For pete's sake, he is not kissing your face off is he? He sounds like a warm friendly guy. Treasure him.

In my circle of friends being "touchy, feely" is a way of life. No, I personally wouldn't be jealous, but few are raised as I was and in the same circles. If you are uncomfortable, ask his girlfriend to be truthful about how she feels and then act accordingly. Good Luck, hope this helped.

I am in exactly same position but its ridiculous there is nothing to be jealous about, theres nothing in it, we are just friends. My boyfriend is fine about but his girlfriend is super jealous. When i go round there we used to hug as a goodbye but now she knows when I'm going to leave so she goes and hugs him herself and keeps hold of him so i cant, i dont mind but its stupid. She also wont let us go out together to pub for example without her there even if theres others there. Definitely cant be alone together! It means we cant chat like we used to. He also acts differently when shes there, hes more careful about what he says because he doesnt want to upset her. But its her thats paranoid, things might be different with your friends partner, Talk to him, tell him what you feel and maybe ask him to be less touchy feely if it makes you uncomfortable around her. Maybe even talk to her.

Sounds like he is genuinely a touchy feely person. You could ask her (the gf) how she feels about it, but I would chill and just enjoy him for what he is!

it would properly be that you're jealous of the interest that she's giving her bf rather of you and also you elect the old ordinary back the position you've been closer. notwithstanding, in case you do elect that you would like her, be one hundred% particular that you do like her till now you tell her, or you'll basically be breaking apart a cheerful courting. i'm no longer declaring you're a homewrecker, faraway from it, basically declaring be careful about what that's that you omit.

its not innocent.....you both have feelings for each other and if his gf doesnt like it , and your saying that you 2 arent in love then u should have no problem in respecting his gf by not letting that guy touch you.... you have personal space as does he .. and if he keeps on then that just means he doesnt love her or respect her..
