I've discussed this with my husband - should it ever come to that point with us.
We both agreed as long as it doesn't affect our realtionship (ours it built on matters deeper than just sexual fidelity) and he/she never enters our shared home, there is no problem.
We're a very loving couple, but we're not sexually compatible. As you get older, you realize that sex is just sex - as long as it's not trying to compensate for anything else lacking in the relationship.
If you're doing it out of revenge, to "get back" at him or her for a transgression - it's a little more of a stigma than if it's just getting together for a one night stand.
If you're looking for another serious relationship, you might want to reconsider your first realtionship.
It's quite a common practice, despite popular opinion.

Who told you relationship should last forever anyway? the human mind gets bored ...PERIOD! why do people have so many issues around what sex means? Firstly they say oh he only wants me for sex, then they say he doesnt give me enough sex. what is this big issue that sex means "i love you" ??? the two are not related and we add all the meaning from cultural myth and religious dogma. Being in love doesnt mean your going to be together either and we think it does! Could it be possible that once we get all the growth we can we move on? Men dont want to sit on the cave all day guarding the horizon and come in to get their buttons pressed! The number one issue that makes men impotent is females emotional violence and you know what im talking about here and you can ask any man! This is what pushes a man into another womans arms, however men being ignorant around relationship as it wasnt "macho" to learn it are to stupid to realise this. If a man isnt mentally stimulated outside of shalow vanity he will look elsewhere. No man will put up with a womans emotional crap, no matter how beautifull she is!.....PERIOD. So i suggest you look at your part in it and stop blaming him! and if your a female, you only live once so enjoy just don't get caught! or come to a mutual understanding.

extramaritals affairs do not help anybody in the long run. It is immoral . It means breaking the promise and backstabbing... I am wondering which one is more important to you : affairs or keeping them secrets ; whether you are proud of having extramarital affairs or whether you are trying to keep them secrets ...in both case, ethically it is not something to be proud of...

You are only kidding yourself. You have to have respect for yourself and live with yourself. How selfish to do that and be married. If you want that, just get a divorce and date. These things never turn out good, and when you are older, will you be proud of yourself to have kept these secrets all these years. You are a fool.

Anyone that is in love would never disrespect thier partner by having an affair.
It sickens me how many people think it is acceptable bahaviour.

after 22 years , i am all for it... i dont care what you say, my spouse doesnt ever want to try anything different, when you bring something new to try, she is like why lets judt do it and get it over with... there for it is not that i am not trying,niether my wife of i are ugly , just she know what she likes and doesnt want to try anything new... i just need something different every now and then... i am for it!!!
