how do you deal with negative people?

when i started this job i was at there was like5-7 negative people, sometimes it got to the poing where i was like 50/50 very mad like i couldnt take it but a year and a half later i am still there, those negative people are still there, and just would like to know how you deal with them, i think when someone is mean with you or says something mean or rude it makes it very hard to work, but i will not leave my job as i like it very much

Well done for sticking it out, already you've proved you've got guts and stamina. The best way to deal with people like that is to smile often, and even compliment them regularly. (Not over the top of course).
Negative people can actually be transformed when their negativity is reflected by positivity.

Ignore them when you can. The thing i hate is when people ***** about where they work because of their wages and/or bosses. If they don't like it, they should leave. Now if you can't avoid them or you are forced to work with them. Simply tell them. Your negativity isn't making anything better. If they don't like it, they should shut up.

be positive .try to make them positive.and remember a business man is like a chameleon changes its colour according to the situation.i am not saying be hipocratic.tit for tat is the only solution if their approach is too negative my friend.best of luck brother.

The easiest way is to confront them When they say something mean,you ask"Why are you being mean to me?". Cause when you tell them straight to their face the truth,they will thing twice before they do that again.The best is to be honest.
