natural progression that people that ask and aswer questions would talk to each other ?? I realize katie said she was in love , I think we all understand crushing on a pic is diffrent and i think she was being cute (can't say I blame her btw)but the core question is it out of line to talk to the people you answer and ask questions with???

Why should it be out of line?

I think everyone on here (especially at this time of night) is looking for something... escape, entertainment, company (not feeling so alone), Something. Why not chatting too?

Some of us keep seeing the same people on here, same time of day or night, answering the same questions, it's only natural to want to find out more about these people. And maybe we like some of the questions or answers they give.

Best of luck with Katie and your other admirers ;)

Has the upstairs neighbour screamed herself hoarse yet?

Of course the more we get to know someone the more we like or dislike them. Some things are very sexy to see in others. A picture is just a small bit of what a person is like in person and our minds fill in the blanks with a 'best case scenerio'. It is easy to feel a strong emotional attachment to somoeone we interact with online.
Is it out of line to do so?
If you are married it is not good to give those emotions to someone else. It leads to BIG trouble. You should not interact and fantasize about "greener grass" . If you are single have fun with it, just remember you need to meet in person to really know the whole package. If you fill in too many blanks before you meet, you might be in for a huge dissapointment and feel almost as if someone you love has vanished into thin air and you are left standing next to bits and peices of them.

I think in some cases it is. I started asking and answering with a couple of people that I now IM with, and one of them I very much consider a best friend - we send each other poems we find or song lyrics or weird pictures, anything that we find interesting(we're a lot alike too - almost like twins!) and we email at work a lot. I don't know about actually going to meet anyone in person, but it's nice to have friends in this context in my opinion.

It does make sense that the natural course would lead to talking to each other. It's almost like you get to know some people personally anyway. I know there are a few people I've just wanted to get to know better because they seem funny or interesting.

i talk to some people yes, but I don't engage in sex chat or any adult chat, because I think that's tacky. I like to be friends with people, but don't appreciate when people try and turn things into adult themed conversations. I think people should respect that others may have a husband/wife/bf/gf and not try and engage others in sex chat.

No, I don't think it's out of line..Thought that's one reason for being here. I get emailed all the time, for my answers,....some are upset with me , tho! ;~( But,,,some of them have remained friends, and we continue to email, since I've been on YA...It's very interesting, and I get to meet all kinds of very nice people from all over...
