Often, I'll see quite a number of participants keep repeating the same question so many times, why ? It seen like they are not serious with their own question, and how to get a genuine answer ? Very bad impression to others.

It is because they wish to get as many answers as possible.
As you know, after you post a question, your question will get pushed back in the queue to the back pages, as more questions come in, thus lessening the chances of anyone answering it.

It is true that there are many double or triple postings on "Yahoo Answers". I have concluded that there are several reasons. They are:
1) Participants are not serious about their postings and are posting their questions to irritate others.
2) Participants made a genuine mistake but making double postings.
3) Participants does not know which category their postings are in, thus they make several postings.
Generally, I view the questions. Those I deem genuine, I will provide a geniune answer. Some I do not even bother to answer.

They want more people to answer to their question and have more option to see if there is anybody have the same thinking as them.

I think it's cause they put it in different catagories so that more people will see it?
