Your local MP is a good place to start, or A.S.H. if you want to get involved with an Interest group.

start with local councillors but i will save you lots of time and effort you will have no input to any thing to do with law and by the way why do you think the age should be put up because you are a non smoker why cant younger people smoke you want stop them wake up kids as young as 10-11 of smoking and taking drugs the government cant stop this so you futile request will be laughed at don't forget young people are expected to act like young adults and you are trying to stop them smoking what do you want a ideal world for you and you alone worry about more pressing things important things stop being self centred wake up see what is going on kids raping mugging old Lady's spaced out on drugs ah ah smoke until they are eighteen get a life Clair put some fight into other things more important but do follow your wishes and you will be laughed at have you been on the streets lately i don't think so pet Dave

try influencing your MP, but there is little chance of one MP being able to make a difference, pressure groups are more effective, but even they can struggle as you need a majority of the House of Commons, and the House of Lords to approve a change to the law.

Start a petition, hold meetings and start a focus group.
When the ball is rolling more people will join and eventually the avalanche of public opinion will force the laws to change.

There is the usual method of writing to your MP, but depending on what your MP's party's standing is on it, you may be on an uphill struggle. See if there are any campaign groups who agree with you, multiple voices are better than one.

I believe the legal age is 18 and up to 21 in most states, if it isn't in your state I'd write to your legislator for him/her to submit a bill....
