What can be the cause of the difference in the size(thickness/width) of both the arms?...
We recently noticed that there is difference of 2 inches in the thickness/width of my mother's left arm and the right arm when she reported that her clothes are tight in one arm and ok in another..
*What can be the cause of same.?
*The is 55 yrs old female who had this difference in the arm size.
I have searched on the internet but no leads...

She uses one arm more than the other. This is very common in people because we are left handed/right handed people meaning we favor one arm over the other. In using the one arm more than the other, it becomes larger, even longer. In other words, it becomes more developed.

It's probably b/c one arm is obviously stronger for some reason-that stronger/bigger one is her main side. Is she a righty or a lefty? Whichever it is, is that the one that's stronger? If so than it's probably b/c she does more with that hand/arm. Like bowling, catching and throwing, eating, lifting, chores...It's got to be something like that, for some reason she's been using that one arm more than the other. Likely for many years, and maybe she just didn't know it, or know how strong that one side really is. The only other explanation isn't too good. My grandfather has two different size shoes, and one leg is more skinny than the other...the reason...he has polio, but I don't want to wish that upon you. She could just see her doctor, they're more skilled to have a better answer :-)

OVerdeveloped muscles on one side.
It is common for women to be recalled for breast scans due to breasts being different sizes, for the same reason. Nothing to worry about!
