it could very well be an OCD, or possibly they are closeted themselves. perhaps they are just such sad, lonely people, they have nothing better to do than butt into other people's personal business.
and, I also have to agree with IndyT. some of them say they don't care "as long as we keep it in the bedroom." then they should follow the same example! I don't scream from the rooftops that I'm a lesbian, but I don't hide it. I am out to everyone, but I don't talk about what my partner and I do in private. that's no ones business, whether you're gay or straight.
why do so many of them shove their sex lives in our face? why so much sex in advertising? do you feel the need to constantly prove you're straight?? I don't get it....

living vicariously through others and have a boring life themselves..
tha's the first thought that came to my head. OCD's (obsessive complusive disorders) have lots to do with many things people do.. and funny thing is, OCD's are so abundant in todays society that most of them arent diagnosed and/or known to the person doing the things.. so we wont see the end of crazy reactions and such for a long while..
grin and bare it if you must.. if you dont, cut the loser from your life.. you dont need to be around someone or let someone's words or actions affect you if you dont want..

I have to agree with you and add, I get such a laugh out of those with a "so long as they keep it in their bedroom" load of rubbish... As if they keep their sexuality out of the mainstream. They use sex and sexual attraction to sell everything from beer, cars, to the homoerotic ECW Wrestling show, yet should one of us mention that our significant other also happens to be of the same sex as we are, they act offended/grossed out. If they want to sanitize everything, no wife and kids photos on the desk, no talk of discount "family day" picnics to the local state park or amusement park, and all the 1000 little other things they do every day that flashes their sexuality to others, we will have no problems complying with their "wishes".

I honestly think the ones that go into graphic detail are closeted homosexuals. But I would not rule out OCD as a possible reason for some of them.

I think there's many people who are judgmental and conceited. (which is a way to cover up insecurities). Such people love having something to focus on, and sex in general is really titillating. And now add into it something really kinda erotic, and not like the sex that the person has deemed 'right' and you really got somebody who's all rev'ed up. People spend the time because secretly, they are excited by it, and the only way to explore it and remain true to their mental self-image, is to explore it and vocally criticize it. They are in truth horny, insecure people. IMHO, of course. :)

obsession disorder but in most case's its
POLITIC'S and politic's brings the subject to our home's (via media) hammering away and fanning the fire's ...thats when Norm n Martha become involved in stuff they know nothing about....it secretly may excite...which turns to shame......

I don't know what condition that they are suffering from...but to hear them sometimes, they know more about being gay than I, an openly gay man, do...I have absolutley no interest in who they are having sex with...and I don't understand why they care so much about my sexual partners (unless it happens to be them)....I think they must be terribly bored with their own lives and need entertaining...high maintenance people!

I don't think that would classify someone as OCD but it is possibly another disorder. Someone who obsesses over someone else to that extent needs psychiatric help regardless of whether what they are saying is positive or negative.

Well, I'm Obsessive-Compulsive, but I've never wondered about sex acts that I'm not starring in... then again, I'm a lesbian, so this doesn't apply to me.

I think that people think of the sex act when referring to a gay couple. This is important but other things are important too. They dont think of the love they share or what interests them. A gay couple is no different than a straight couple.
