since he retired many years ago many fans of today dont remember the man who is the figure that graces the nba logo and was the original "mr clutch"....that was jerry west...although he did not win many championships due to the dominance of the celtics in the 60s...many times west delivered in closing moments of many games,,,,the most memorable being the last second shot beyond halfcourt against the knicks in 1970...unfortunately the 3 point shot was not in effect then and the shot just tied the game and the knicks went on to win in overtime

There were so many from so many different eras..Ill give you a couple of the greatest and then my pick.
Reggie Miller-killed those knicks every time
Mr. Jordan-clutch as in 6 championships
Larry Bird-great games vs. the Lakers
Magic Johnson-clutch vs. the celtics
Kareem Abdul Jabar-the sky hook to win it
Jerry West-MR CLUTCH
Pistol Pete Marovich-the laker killer
Kobe Bryant-hogs the ball and wins the games
My pick would have to be Jerry West with that 50 footer to win the ring.

Reggie Miller was a great clutch player, but I would go with McGrady. I think everyone remembers that one one game were he dropped 11 points in the last minute of the game just to give them a one point win. You can't get more clutch than that.

I would agree with reggie miller he hit so many clutch threes to win so many games. you could always count if the pacers where within 2 or 3 with just a few seconds go reggie would curl out to the other side and get a three off.

Magic Johnson...as a rookie he led the great Lakers to the world championship and then in a deciding game he had to switch positions from PG - C (two most diff. positions in the game) and he dominated there as well to lead his team to Natl Champion status...I believe he had something like 41 pts, a triple double if im not mistaken (maybe just a double double).
