GHz is referring to your processor speed....not your internet connection as this would be measured in bandwidth...

GHz is Gigahertz a mesurment of processing speed of your CPU, your internet speed would be measured in various messures most being (hopefully better than the first one) KB- kilo-bytes, MB - mega bytes

heard pacnet is introducing 2.5ghz speed wireless broadband for small business if i am not wrong.

it is surely very fast and it should be very fast just as transfering big files over a network and even faster.
