Why do the villains always have to try and kill him in such elaborate ways, like feeding him to sharks, or slicing him up with a laser. Why don't they just shoot him in the head and be done with it.?? They'd do us all a favour then..

Quite! A point admirably made by Dr. Evil in Austin Powers.
Sorry - wasn't implying that you plagarised the film!! I think it was in the second film - Dr Evil wanted to kill Austin by throwing him to the sharks in some convoluted way, and his son kept saying "why not just shoot him in the head..."! Which, of course, he didn't and our hero escaped thanks to some gadget or other.

That's the same thing I've always said about Batman. A simple shot to the head and he's gone. But no, they have to keep coming with those elaborate ways to kill them that never work. Bond's villains, along with Batman's, should form a team of inept killers along with the miserable Coyote (of the Roadrunner cartoon).

My husband is a vast fan of Daniel Craig and says he's the excellent Bond in his opinion. He even does all his own stunts.i'm no longer likely into the 007 Bond video clips, yet do think of Daniel Craig is thru some distance the main well-liked to portray the playboy character.

to answer that question, you first have to put yourself in a persona of the villain. You've been chasing Bond for almost a lifetime. The time came when at last you caught him off-guard. NOw, would you just let him die easily? Not so fast, MAN! after all the pains and risks you've taken, maybe you have the right to make the death slow and breathtaking, right?! the viewers would want that.lol

As a Bond fan myself.A villain always tries to kill him elaborately and slowly. That way,he gets more satisfaction doing this.As is often the case, the villain always ends up getting it in the neck. However, a villain can get killed using his own device.Examples include Carver in" Tomorrow Never Dies" who is killed off Bond using the sea-drill!

Because the definition of a baddie is
- they can't shoot straight
- Some one has just bought them a new laser and they want to try it out
- they can't shoot straight
- They have plans of world domination that cause them to leave before Mr Bond is killed by said laser
- they can't shoot straight

The movies would be damn short and they wouldn't have that happy ending. The world needs to see Bond groping some girl he just met who's half his age.
