Hi Karen, your roommate maybe right about the old dude. but just the fact he is old means you maybe getting new neighbors some day soon? what are the chances of two sets of blind neighbors? better to have the stuff in the ground and growing then to play catch up later.
I am putting a list of suggested pool are plants in e-mail to you. it's too long to type out here and i am lazy and hungry. besides your new roommate asked me out to dinner, so the dok has left the building.

Where are you swimming? is it a pool, pond, lake? Different plants for different situations. If it is a pool some housing developments have strict regulations about what you can grow so take care on growing bamboo also it needs a lot of water so you need an irrigation system or a lot of maintenance to water. If you have a lake or pond situation cat tails are good but will take over if left unchecked. Many places require fences for pools so your best bet may not be plants at all but may be privacy fencing

Get some large arbor vitae...they look great and give some instant privacy. But remember to plant them with some space in between to allow the outside world some free peeks...knowing that you're being seen makes swimming naked so much more fun!

Bare hugs...and let me know when I can come over!

Ragin, the old fart next door is so blind he wouldn't notice a naked hippo in our pool. I was picking some tomatoes this morning near the east gate. all i had on was a tong. the dude walked straight past me and if i had let the gate slam he wouldn't have noticed i was there. as it was, he looked me straight into my chest and said "Good morning sir!" and walk past with out so much as a blink. You know how hard it is to miss my boobs. If he didn't notice a naked set of 36 Cs two feet away, he's not going to be bothered by 6 naked college chicks skinny dipping in our pool. Give up the bush thing will ya?

As mentioned above bamboo makes a great screen and it grows quick and needs little maintenence . But make sure you buy the non obtrusive variety or clumping type or you could get into trouble .
