she doesn't have to go with you, that is no reason for dumping you is she the jelous type, and does she think that you will find a new woman through this. Tell her to take it or leave it, you are allowed time to yourself you don't need to be joined at the hip all of the time. IT'S CALLED TRUST

Excuses excuses. Are you sure that it was only because you joined a gym she dumped you-if so,she is pretty shallow, you are better off rid of her then,or were YOU looking for an excuse to be rid of her and knew this would be the way to do it?There's more to this than meets the eye-a gymophobic?hmmm, seems so silly:-/

That is a ridiculous reason, unless you have a health condition that necessitates a personal trainer and the gym does not provide you with one. In which case she is very worried for you but doesn't want to take care of you.

Take the dumping as good news if she is this way....

YES she is right!! She told you from day 1 that she doesn't like them, and so you go against what she is not comfortable with?

Think of it this way. Pretend you HATE clubs and she LOVES them. From day 1 you say, "hon, I HATE clubs, please please don't join one..." and she says, "okay" or whatever. And then one day she goes off and joins one anyway! How would you feel? Wouldn't you feel that she betrayed your trust? Wouldn't you feel that she went "against" you? Wouldn't you feel that she wasn't willing to compromiose with you or work something out by going behind your back?

I don't blame her for dumping you, and I"ll bet that there's more to it that you haven't mentioned here, too!!

Well, there's a difference between 'not liking' and 'hating so much she couldn't stand the thought of you joining'! It depends how clear she made her feelings on the matter.

Why did you join one then. Just to annoy her?

It sounds like a weird situation, but what possessed you to join up? There are other ways to stay healthy.
