No some words use a "c" (with the cedilla) instead of the "t"

This is generally true but with some exceptions (see other answers).
Why? Because all of those words ARE French. French was imposed as an official language in England after the Norman conquest, which is why today the English language is a hybrid that often has Latin/French rooted words and germanic/nordic rooted words that mean the same thing(eg excavate/dig).
Usually the Latin/French derived word is more official or technical, and the germanic/nordic one more earthy/basic.

hi. i speak both . And all the words that end in "ion" in english are not the same in french. some are different like contraception, caption... there is not much i agree.

Nope. Funny story though...I speak both languages and for the longest time I could not keep from confusing the word for "conrtaception" with the word for "jam, jelly". Look it up and you'll see why. Much embarassment and gnashing of teeth.

No - although it took me a while to find an example - Contraption in English is Objet in French. So there you have it!
