I used bath seal until I could get to a scrap yard and then bought some of the rubber trim off a scrap car. Sun Roof as good as new now.
I only realised it was leaking when I went to a job interview, got out of the car and had a soaking wet behind! Not the best image I must say!

pull it out and istall it properly
a sunroof should last over 30 years and not leak
if it does leak then whoever installed it just stole your money
