have a look around charity shops or car boot sales, u can pick up cowboy boots there for quite reasonable prices. as for the rest of the outfit, all you need is a check shirt, a hat, denim skirt and maybe you can buy some material to make a fringe waistcoat?

easy..go to a charity shop and buy a cheap chequered shirt and a waistcoat and a large flowing skirt ,jeans skirt will look good doesnt matter if they are too big if you have a sewing machine..they also sell cowboy hats.hobby craft shops sell feathers for a few pence or.this should cost no more than a couple of pounds and if you tart it up with feathers it will look great, you could even go to a boot fair and get the stuff even cheaper..

You can buy check shirts, jeans and denim skirts fairly cheaply from shops such as Peacocks and Primark, but I have to agree with you, boots are very expensive.
I got mine from Dorothy Perkins for £40. They were quite a sound investment, because I still wear them now. So it's worth splashing out if they are going to be suitable for other occasions. If you are really strapped for cash, you can have her wear a relatively cheap pair of jeans with regular shoes, customised to look cowgirl-ish, with cow-hide like material sewn on the legs for chaps. Let your imagination run wild! :)
Cheap 'cowgirl' hats can be bought from Claire's Accessories, which is where I got mine from.

most cities have a fancy dress rental shop...these shops don't charge the earth and have a good choice of outfits....check in the yellow pages...you might be able to rent just the cowboy boots if you are making the outfit yourself....good luck...and i hope your daughter has a great time

simple a ra ra type skirt in denim if you only have a plain denim skirt then cut up some square's or check material so you can hand sew them on like patches, a check shirt a plain scarf (handkerchief) for round the neck, and a cowboys hat -also a pair of boot's hope she has fun.....

I would love to answer this question, but dressing up as a cowgirl for a fancy dress party doesn't sound practical. Cowgirls wear jeans, cowboy boots, etc. which are far from "fancy" or dressy.

I believe long skirts are excellent, you're covered up without the restrictions of pants.
