My husbands employer has hired a known child molester and he's being "forced" to work in the same vacinity as this person. The sad part is he has informed his employer of this and they tell him there's nothing they can do a about it.
This "man" knows others know what he has done and he taunts them, trying to instigate a fight w/my husband and anyone else he's in the mood to aggrivate.
How is it an employer can fire someone for smoking weed yet, when they find something like this out about an employee there's nothing the employer can do.
Don't the people who have been in a companies employ for years have a say about who they are co-workers with? This person IS on the sex offender registery and makes other employees VERY uncomfortable. Is there NOTHING the employer/other employees can do legally before things get out of hand ?
I would hate to see somebody lose their way of making a living because of this idiot.

one more example of PC gone wrong, positive discrimination.I hope you feel the same across the board. If we accept this person is ill, and has a handicap, then unfortunatley there is nothing to be done, but if we look at him as just pure evil, then we are as bad as the bigots, racists, and male chauvanists who walk this planet. What about a new common sense approach instead of PC, I SAY CUT HIS BALLS OFF! There are many things your husband and his coworkers can do. If they simply want to get this individual out of their office due to his past and present behavior then they should document when this person tries to instigate a fight or conflict; I would think it best to get some actual voice recordings of what this person is saying.
You know on another note it is sad that the employer has to keep this person, I'm sure they are afraid of a lawsuit and want to have very good reason to terminate him/her when they do. See some of our great laws protect certain offenders that are not victims, but predators..
Your husband and the other concerned employees can take the civil course and bring documented evidence to the employer or they can get the group of them together, express their unease at working with this person, while giving their reason, and hope that the employer understands that they stand to lose a group over one problematic person. I wish your husband and his coworkers the best!

i too feel quite strongly against having to work with a child molester. best advice i can offer your husband is to avoid any contact with the man as best he can. there is safety in numbers so make sure that all the employees stick together on this. they should present their situation to thier employer or take matters up with the court system as there is a possibility that if its ALL of the employees who feel this way then they may have to remove the odd 1 out. Best of luck resolving this nasty situation, what a world we live in when people like this are allowed to walk and work amongst us decent folk!

First of all, what EXACTLY did he do? Is he a "real" child-molester or just another guy getting labeled by the witch-hunters?
I'm surprised I never ended up on the list of sexual offenders. Years ago when I was 22 and drunk I grabbed a girl's butt in a hotel loby. In a different county I could have gone to prison for that, instead of spending a night in jail.

you cant fire someone for something they did before they got hired i sympathise with your husband! getting fired for smoking weed on or off the job site is a firer-able offence cause your doing it while employed! but as for the pedophile it wont be long before he gets caught doing something a gain

I'd invite this guy out for a beer after work, and when he showed up beat his azz. We'd see if the taunting continued.
