Are there any cheats or tips on Gran Turismo 4?

I'm getting addicted to Gran Turismo 4 on PS2, and although with practise i'm getting better at driving, i wondered if anyone had any tips?

How to get the highest a-spec points: From the beginning, once you have won all your licenses, find your favourite car which has at least 150 bhp, preferably more. Enter the easy Capri rally with it. Sell the prize for winning both races and buy the Dodge Ram Laramie 1500 Hemi Quad Cab from the New Dodge showroom. Ignore any other advice you may get in this regard and enter the following races: one family cup race on a medium length course, all Sunday Cup Races, and all easy rallies with no tuning except snow or dirt tyres where required. You should find it easy to earn maximum a-spec points on all these races. You can then earn max points with various levels of tuning on other races like the normal rallies, the muscle car comp, stars and stripes, 4WD challenge and the sport truck races and at least 1 endurance race. Reduced points (but still high) may also be earned in other races. Where the Dodge can't win, the Infiniti FX45 will get you there. The infiniti can also win some of the hard rallies

I think it's one of the few games without any cheats, you have to pass all the tests and unlock the cars yourself.
One thing I've found is that the "bonnet view" is the easiest to use.
As soon as you get a good car, try the tarmac rally & the wet circuit races, the easy ones are quite easy to win and you win a car for every pair of races you win.
I don't remember if you need to have completed a certain amount of the game before the special condition races are unlocked though.

Keep practising. Seriously, build up your money by winning the most profitable race you can enter and selling the prize car. Then buy a new car and trick it up with all the add ons, and repeat. First and foremost, get your licences before you start racing, it's much easier that way. If you get bored of doing the same races repeatedly race them in directors mode and you can speed them up by 3X. Have fun.

If you look really close on the side of the Nike One, you can see a small area near the front of the car of morse code. If you go into photo mode, this will become clearer. The morse code is written backwards as to be seen correctly from inside the car. Spelled out, it is " www.Phil-Frank.com " the website of the Phil Frank Automotive and Product Design Company. Licence Guides
To get a Blue (acceleration) and Red (brakes) Licence Test Guide simply push R3 during 3,2,1,Start. It shows you the best route to go and where to start braking. This only works on the B and A license tests and tests where there is no pace car.

Speed up replays, and turn off BGM
To speed up your replays simply press down L3 and to turn off the background music simply press O.

Stay in same gear in Automatic transmission
When using the automatic transmission option, hold R2 to make your car remain in the same gear. This is great for remaining at a given speed through a corner, or stretching the top end of a gear for a little extra speed/performance.
