it's very simple. connect the Cassatte player to PC.
U need a wire with microphone pin at one and and other end with LEFT and RIGHT(split) Aux pins.
Now that u have connected the output of Cassatte player to microphone of PC, Start recording, u an even use windows recorder and save in the format taht u like.

If your cassatte player does not have left right aux pins then simply get a wire with 2 earphone pins. connect one to Earphone socket of cassatte player or walkman and other to the mic socket on pc. and record on pc to desired bitrate and format.

One u have it on Hard drive write it to a CD.

Use the line in on your computer's sound card, turn the volume up from the volume control in windows and use a piece of sound recording software which can record the audio line in signal. Do a search for some freeware software.

You need a cable from the line-out of your cassette player to the line-in of your PC's soundcard. Then you use a software like Audacity that will allow you to capture the sound as a digital file, and allow you to clean-up or manipulate the files you make, and save them in the format that you want, and then these resultant files can be burned to a CD.

Audacity is a free piece of software that allows capture of analogue signals, and converts them to digital files in several diferrent formats (mp3, wmv etc.)

http://www.nobodyfilms.co.uk/ can do it cheaply and quickly. They are an excellent service.

You need specialised equipment to do it at home (or at least a lot of knowledge of how to fit equipment together in complex ways).
