All the currently iPod versions can store pictures and play a nice slideshow. However, even the newly formatted iPod Nano cannot play videos. That ability is left for the new 30GB and 60GB iPods.

They can store pictures - I've just bought one and it's brilliant!! but do get a case as well to protect it.
