my son found a baby lizard outside in the field and it has a blue spot like under its chin im trying to find out what kind so i know what to feed it

Depending on where you live, it could be several things- in the US we have 'swifts' also called 'fence lizards'
Common name, 'blue bellies'
Don't let the blue belly confuse you though, on many of the baby ones, the belly is often white or cream, and the throat has a blue patch on it.
What they look like from the top? sandy colored, sometimes with flecks of darker brown. Sort of flat like a horned toad, but with a long thin tail.
They can be very fast.
These lizards eat bugs- bugs about half the size of their head or smaller- baby crickets, tiny wax or meal worms, some moths, grasshoppers, things like that.
They need fresh water, places to hide and climb and heat...

I have a geko with a light blue spot down the side of his neck and hes a blueish-white color but I don't know what your lizard looks like so I can't tell you what to feed him.

did you take him to a pet store and ask yet?
