The law changed in April or May to allow uncontested divorces to go through after a separations of one year rather than two years. Does this only apply to separations AFTER the law changed, or does it apply retrospectively as well?

Do you have a barrister on retainer? Sorry I am an american (i live in the united states) If you do i think it would be smart to ask them. Or is there such a thing as the clerk of courts in Scotland? Wow you guys make it tuff to get divorced huh? I think they should have a seperation period here in the states . i think to get divorced is too easy here. I think people dont work hard enough on their marriages here in the states. Good Luck and god bless.

could advise against it. Any one million/2-way good lawyer will rip holes in it once you have long gone. in case you have any suspicion that somebody could contest it, you're able to desire to confirm that this is watertight. unhappy yet actual.
