Spray all the entry/exit points with raid - it keeps them out. xx

Conkers - they work for me. I am terrified of spiders and have tried everything but this is the only thing that seems to keep them out of the house. I place a bowl of there here and there throughout the house. They look quite nice too. Apparently there's something about them that spiders really hate. Sounds mad, but it's worth a go. Conkers are falling from chestnut trees at this time of year so collect them now!

yes hes approx 7 years old and he a black lab x called charlie aka STINKMUTT..if it walks flies or crawls in this house (insects that is..) he will take great delight in picking it up in his mouth,chewing on it a bit..and then spitting it out at your feet..mind you some more resilient spiders are still moviing,then i just tell him..kill it stink..and he makes sure its dead by eating it...he has done this since a pup..and the insects dont last long in this house..!! he should be awarded the gbm..(good dog medal ) for services to this house..hes great..

you're better with a spider in you house than without. Don't deter em. They can hardly hurt ya

all the above work,but why bother there are no poisonous spiders in the uk ANDthey eat flies

WD40 they hate the smell.
It doesn't kill them just keeps them away.
