at first i seriously thought you said Sophocles, and i would have agreed with you. I was like "wtf! this thirteen year old girl is reading works by Sophocles already?" Well, works by Sophocles would make a fantastic film... not sure about your shopoholic stuff... you should really read Sophocles' work, The Three Theban Plays (Antigone, Oedipus the King, Oedipus at Colonus) instead.

I agree with Timothy C Sophocles' plays would actually be pretty good films... but shopoholic? that series is total crap... what about a shallow and insecure woman who thinks buying things will make poeple like her is actually interesting? o yea.. the fact that in our world she'd probably end up bankrupt and living with her parents for the rest of her life, contrary to what happens to her in the story ...but sadly yes.. the series will probably be made into a major picture just because the world is also filled with shallow and insecure girls who like to laugh at other shallow insecure people.

I'm a shopaholic addict too, have you read any of her other books...very funny.
I'm not sure about turning the books into a film, I've NEVER seen any film that's done a good book justice. Would you like one book in particular to be used or all of them in one film? I think the best one to turn into a movie would be Ties The Knot.
Anyway, nice to meet a fellow appreciater.

The Shopholic series are PERFECT as books. Making a film out of them would RUIN them.
I have read the Bridgit Joness' Books - and the film version of the first one was DREADFUL, they left all the good bits out!

I completely agree with you, the series is really good!!!...But if they do make a film they should put all the books into one, otherwise it would just drag and be ruined like so many other books, e.g. harry potter...

Good lord no! No more ChickLit adaptions.... it's only making us stupider by association. If I have to read one more critique of "supermarket literature" this term, I am going to burn them all!
