The good news is that Jabalpur has an airport (code JLR). The bad news is that it is served by only one airline, Air Deccan (DN), using small ATR-42 aircraft. Daily flights are available from two points only, Bhopal (BHO) and Delhi (DEL). Since there are no direct flights from Hyderabad (HYD) to Bhopal, you might need to connect in Delhi. More bad news: the flight from Delhi to Jabalpur departs very early in the morning (around 6am), so you have to stay overnight in Delhi to catch this flight. In returning from Jabalpur to Hyderabad, you can get a better connection. Another option is Khajuraho airport (HJR) to the north of Jabalpur which is served by Jet Airways India (9W) from also two points, Delhi and Varanasi (VNS). Again, no flights available from HYD to VNS, so you have to connect through DEL. You can get same day connections for this trip, but not necessariy on same airline.
By train, you can take the Secunderabad Patna Express train (number 7091) from Secunderabad station in Hyderabad. It takes about 19 hours to get to Jabalpur by this train. Another service is the Secunderabad Patna Special train (number 791) which stops in fewer points but takes about the same time.

Catch the Dakshin Express for Bhopal. You will arrive around 5 pm.Then catch the Indore Bilaspur Express (called Narmada Express, its a daily running train)at 11 pm. You will arrive at Jabalpur by 7 am the next morning.
There are two stations at Bhopal namely, Bhopal Main and Habibganj. There is a train leaving Habibganj (Jan Shatabdi Express) at 5.40 pm daily from Habibganj (reaching Jabalpur at 10.45 pm).So if your train is running on time, get off at Habibganj.

No. But you can put a map in front of you and start meditating on that. Soon you either get transported to your destination through magic or they will build a new transportation system.
The fine print: soon might mean as little as 1000 solar years.
