What is Kuja Dosham?

In the traditional Hindu Astrology we come across Kuja Dosham in marriage match making and compatibility. The very word sends shivers along the spine of the opposite side. The moment they hear that Kuja Dosham exists in one chart, they drop it and say you find a match with similar Kuja Dosham. Kuja Dosham means the presence of Mars- Kuja-Mangalik- in houses 2,4,7,8,12 from Lagna as well from Moon sign is bad and will cause death or separation of spouse and hence should be avoided for marriage alliance unless both the parties have Kuja Dosham-Mangalik.
The second house from Lagna deals wealth, longevity, communication and transport and the presence of Mars - Kuja in this affects the smooth sail of life in these fields and thus may cause death or separation of spouse and hence should be avoided.
The presence of Mars - Kuja in 4th house from Lagna, the house that deals with the subjects of family, mother, and thus Mars, a harsh and fiery planet, causes danger to those fields governed by the 4th house and hence should be avoided for marriage alliance.
The 7th house from Lagna, the house of spouse and partners, should not have the presence of Mars - Kuja and if present may cause disputes and death of spouse. So an alliance with Mars in seventh house shall be avoided.
The 8th house is the house for health and death and the presence of Mars - Kuja is a potential danger to the native of the chart and hence an alliance with short life shall be avoided.
The 12th house is for health, expenditure and the presence of Mars will affect the longevity of the native and an alliance with short span of life shall be avoided.

As per his horoscope Lagnam (ascendant) is cancer and Mars is in 6th house,Nakshtra Uttara bhadrapad , 3 Pad.Moon sign,Meena. SO there is no Sevvai dosham(kuja dosham), be haapy.So no need of remedy.

for cancer lagnam mars in 6 is not mangalik please note that for mars dosham there is NO REMEDY it is only a feeling, it is a tendency, a behaviour that is all

Kuja dosha normally is considered from lagna. But as advocated by astrologers if mars position is considered from
Chandra lagna as well as from Venus the karaka for marriage, how many horoscopes will be counted as free from kuja dosha?

On the positive side, a strong Mars is necessary to give us the energy, independence, will and self-confidence to carry out our endeavors. Without this we would have no real interest, passion or motivation to carry out anything to an end and accomplish its objective. On the negative side, the same aggression brings about competition, argument and conflict - which, if unchecked can lead to domination, violence, injury and disaster .
Mars indicates premature death; as with loss of partner, particularly so when Mars is afflicted by "Kujadosha". This affliction of Mars in a chart commonly makes the horoscope to be known as a Manglik horoscope. It is caused by placement of Mars in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, 12th house of a natal chart. There are of course conditions when this affliction of "Kujadosha" is reduced.

In Hindu Marriage, the Kuja Dosha is checked between the Boy and the Girl horoscope.
let me explain it from the Boys point. Count from Lagna ( lagna=1) in the clock wise direction, when you reach 7th house, if you see mars there , thats Kuja dosha for you, but if you are a person who is born under the aries,scorpio,or capricon moon raasi, kuja dosha wont affect you as for Aries, Kuja is the lord of their house.You cant tell kuja to move from there and go some where else.infact it gives better result for marriage when Kuja is seen in 7th position(from lagna) for Aries people.the same rule is applicable to Scorpio and capricon people.
Remember if the boy has Kuja dosha and the girl does not have it, nothing serious is going to happen to the girl after marriage as long as the Kuja maha dasa of the boy is already over. the serious problems occur when the boy is going thru his Kuja Maha dasa only (after marriage).
otherwise the boy is advised to marry a girl who has got kuja seated on her 8th house. so they cancel each other.:))
Lets get back the Girls point of view. Here we look at 8th House from Lagna not the 7th house as in boys. start counting from Lagna, clockwise ,stop at the 8th position. if u see kuja there, thats kuja dosha for the girl. this girl should marry a boy who has got kuja in his 7th position so that it gets cancelled each other.
Kuja Dosha is one of the check we do before marriage.there are other checks as well.
