After you have inserted the C.D in the C.D tray follow these step by step instructions to copy a movie C.D to your computer
1.Double click on my computer icon
2.After it opens you will see various drives like c , d , g etc one of them is the C.D drive .....open by right clicking and clicking open
3. now you will see many folders ....click open the folder which says mpeg.....inside this you will see icons in the shape of windows media player or any player which is installed in your computer......these are the movie icons you have to copy to your pc......
4.Confirm by clicking on these files to see if the movie starts playing. If it does then right click these files one by one then click copy and then press ctrl+v or right click and press paste where ever you want the movie

insert the CD copy all the contents and paste it on your hard disk. there are other methods where u can make a dump of the CD but u may require some softwares for it. easy way is copy and paste. to copy right click on the folder in the CD select copy and then right click on the harddrive where u want to paste and select paste.

If your film is in dvd format and it is an original, your pc is not often able to copy it because the film is blocked against it. Have you tried to copy it to a laptop? There also exist some decoders that enable you to copy originals as well.

when you pop the CD into your disc drive a menu should pop up asking you what you want to do...if its a copyrighted DVD then you wont be able to copy it because of encoding I believe...at least without downloading some serious on screen recording software...if it's a CD you recorded yourself, then you just go to my computer...double click your disc drive icon, then in the folder you can just drag and drop wherever you want...like right on to your desktop screen...or another folder or wherever....now if your talking about film like hi8 or something to be transferred to digital...you'll need a video capture card...gl...

definitely yes. simply make a new folder and copy the whole section in CD's to the folder. but recent technology has some copyright protection to avoid to do so...

for dvd use "dvd decrypter" ... then you need a dvd software player to view it on the pc like "powerDVD".

if its a vcd ...copy it to ur harddrive then use "videolan" program to view it ... open the DAT file ... you can also convert a DAT file to mpeg using "VCDgear".
