I downloaded bootcamp and installed windows xp on my mac--but i wont use the internet b/c i am not sure about this:

Can you get pc viruses on a macbook while running xp via bootcamp?

I don't have a Mac or bootcamp, but a PC virus will only harm the virtual Windows part of bootcamp. A PC virus won't go infecting Mac software because the virus/trojan isn't programmed for anything regarding the Mac's operating system.
If bootcamp maintains Windows-type files, like the registry files, then the virus/trojan may damage those, so you might have to re-install bootcamp (if that's how bootcamp works).

YOU CAN GET VIRUS FOR THE XP PART BUT NOT FOR MAC

yes probably, any computer can get a virus
