Work out what area the area code is for then get the telephone directory for that area, sit down and wade through it until you find the number. But honestly, who wants someone's address if they don't even know the someone's name?

find an online/computerized telephone directory. Chances are that the directory might have come with software that allows to you search for an address given a telephone number.

If you ring directory enquires and explain you need to match the number with an address they should tell you as long as you have the full name of the person you are trying to reach. The number you have also has to be a listed number (in the phone book) otherwise they wont give it to you. Hope this helps

If you have the number you must have a dialing code- you could call the operator and check where the dialing code is for and then do a name search in that area in the directory - if not try www.192.com or electrol role

From the dialling code you can work out which town. Then go to www.bt.com and search for that person in that town. If there are a few matches, look for the number you have.

You could try some of the web based phone directories, some of them will work that way, that is you put in a number and it will find any info attached to it, try this one . www.infobel.com . there are lots of them but I don't know them all. try typing phone directories in the search bar.

If you don't want to speak to them until you know who they are then put the number in Google. It's worked for me occasionally in the past, good luck
