Well if you are waiting for the signs and symptoms - it is non-specific. Get tested, there are screening tests that you can get results in minutes and diagnostic test can be done too. Watch out for window period (HIV cannot be detected)
* it is not detected in blood until about 2 - 3 months.
* some may even be detected at 1.5 - 2 months (p24Ag)

You have to wait 3 months from the date of exposure before having a test, then you will know within a few days.

The HIV virus takes about 6 months to show up in a blood test. contact your local health department, they probably have an HIV testing center there that you can call and ask questions of.

AIDS is a disease which is a black horse, if some1 have it then he/she couldn't know it by themselves untill or unless they have a proper blood checkup coz this disease shows its symtoms after a verylong time, it can take upto 5-10 years.

get tested. I think they can tell you in an hour or at least in a couple of days or so. If you wait on symptoms they could show up in 10years. SO your best bet is get tested as soon as possible.
