The thing that reminds me of home , would be the family that has been torn apart by society . No one truly grasps the importance of their siblings until it is too late to appreciate all their associations with being "home". Home was a phrase that was always referenced to me as a child, and what it meant was that "we " as a family would be going to the "mountains", another reference , to be with the extended family that we only saw a few times a year . There I would experience what I always knew home to be , family , good times , love and laughter, tears and sorrow. No where else can one begin to truly know the meaning of "home".

(I'm from Penang, studying outstation in Petaling Jaya, Selangor)
Homesickness is caused by these few factors I just cannot avoid:

My family members, the food (Penang Food is THE BEST in Malaysia!), the culture of living, my relatives + friends and the warmth of the local community (different state/region speaks different dialect, especially Chinese dialects - Penangnites speak Penang Hokkien, whilst Selangor locals speak Cantonese).
