Char is correct I'm a psych major and Dreams always comes up as a topic of discussion, in short you can choose what to dream maybe but not to the point of controlling your dreams but if you are hypnotized maybe you can be guided by the hypnotizer, try it :-)

Lucid dreaming is cool, but you can take it a step further and turn them into Out Of Body Experiences. A lucid dream can be an OBE, but learning to take your conscious mind outside of your body can be the ultimate experience. You can travel anywhere (astral projection), be anyone or anything you want, even have sexual experiences with other spirits. If you get really good, you can have mutual experiences with other people meeting up with them. It's not hard we are all capable of this, it takes practice and an open mind.

Believe it or not. I have had at least 20 dreams during which I, in the dream, spoke out loud and said, "This is a dream." One minute later, I was up. I have meditated and fallen asleep to someone talking on a tape, but they didn't end up in the dream. I think you can wake yourself. I think guiding a dream scenario is rare. Like apples and oranges-conscious and unconscious.
You are both. T h i n k about it.

To be able to control your dreams, you must be consciously aware of having a dream. Of course, you can tell yourself b4 u sleep that u will try ur best to be in control, but that sometimes doesnt work. But if ur lucky, you might be able to remind urself that it's a dream and that you can do anything you want...but do u really want to? I like surprises, myself. Unless I'm having a nightmare, I'd like to see how the dream itself unravels.

I know that you can when you are really awake in your sleep, because I did it once. Here's the story: On the night before thanksgiving I dreamt I was at a train station. I was eager to get up for thanksgiving, so I hit myself in the head in the dream. everything went blurry, I did it again and I woke up. So I guess you can.

yes,i had partial control a few times during my dreams but i was always, coincidentally, woken up by a pesky alarm clock or telephone.it is possible through lucid dreaming but i don't think it was meant to be that we have that control.if we had that control, maybe the video game industry would run out of business, since we can create and control our own fantasy worlds.

Yes, look up lucid dreaming and research it.

I used to practice on a very regular basis, and trained myself to "awaken" in my dreams. It is as you say "pretty cool". Walk through walls, fly, whatever you want. It also is difficult to do though, and as you do it you are very close to waking up, and once you cross that line it ends immediately.

Yes, you can. I haven't went as far as some of the others but I used to have horrible nightmares and trained myself to realize it was a nightmare. It's kind of strange sometimes.
