i think that the top load one should be the one you should opt for, thought the front load looks fancier, and seems easy to use on the television, yet its overall cost is higher up than of a topload, not just cost of the machine, but in the long run too, as the machine is more apt to degenerate, and leak. it puts a greater load on the electricity billing too, and in my experience, it doesn't wash as well as the top load one. Samsung is a good brand and so is videocon, godrej, in top load models. cheerio

I used top-load for 5 years then I have used front load machine for 4 years and now back to top load. My experience:
Front load is more expensive, more heavy, requires more time for completing the cycle, the incidental repair charges are more, and the cleaning is not to the satisfaction. Hence I strongly recomend top-load only.

IFB is the best among front loading washing machines... there is also Electrolux... but thats better as a second choice...

Front load uses less water but after time the seal on the door deteriorates and begins to leak. I like the top load best. Hope this is helpful.

none of them i have tried 2 brands and they both leak around the door
