I think it's just a natural thing that humans do. Because you're sucking face for a long time, it's like standing in a crowded elevator with your nose up against someone's cheek. It's uncomfortable and weird.
People usually kiss with their eyes open most often when they are just playful, short kisses, such as a peck on the lip or cheek in chich it doesn't require much time.
It's a natural reaction that people don't like having things dangling in front of their face for an extended period of time. Like having a bit of masking tape stuck to the end of your nose which you can see. It's quite annoying. That's why it's easier to watch someone while you are kissing their stomach or shoulder - you aren't so close to their face, and you aren't encroaching on their personal space. With your eyes closed, you eliminate that variable by not being able to see it anymore.
Lack of sight allows for the touch, smell, and taste senses to be more active. I know all about this, as my daughter is deaf. Yet she can see things quicker than I can, half the time. Could be because she's a hyperactive 6 year old, but hey. -Shrugs-
Anyway, it's just more pleasurable if you kiss someone with your eyes closed anyway. Not to mention a lot prettier, as you don't have to see them making those funny fish lip faces.

You should close your eyes while kissing until you are serious with each other. If a girl knows you are kissing her with your eyes open...she might get freaked out?

Because it's a lot more romantic when you close your eyes. To me a kiss isn't a kiss unless my eyes are close.

First of all, it not just girls, it is boys too. And the reason they do it is because your vision is your strongest sense. When you close your eyes, all of your other senses sharpen, including touch because not so much focus is placed on what you are seeing. So, by closing your eyes, it increases the sensation on the lips, it increases your sense of smell to pick up pheremones and generally increases the pleasure experienced during the kiss. The last sense that women use is sight. Women are more in tune with the other 4 senses. Men are highly visual, so that means that we have to see things in order to enjoy them. Women want to feel a kiss, so, they'll close their eyes in order to feel it and not see it.

We all do it, i asked the wife why she does it and she says its to savour the moment lol but both of us agree that it away of showing you enjoy being intimate with that person (which i will always remember not to do when i kiss the mother in law goodbye on visits!!).

hey! its not only the girls that closes their eyes when kissing... almost everyone do it fyi... i have read it once in a mag...
anyhow.. who wants to kiss with their eyes open? i mean isnt it kinda freaky to see the pores in the face of yer partner? hehehe... xiao..
