We paid $100 non-refundable pet fee and $250.00 refundable pet deposit. Cat has never peed on carpet nor has he scratched doors, lintels or damaged anything in the apartment. We are having the carpet professionally shmpood. Cab the real estate management still deduct something from out pet deposit? If so, what? - so I can get it taken cared of right away. Thanks!

Most likely they won't have anything to deduct but some managers will still try. My mother had to go to court against a former landlord and show the carpet cleaning receipt and before and after pictures of the apartment. The landlord claimed the apartment smelled like dog but she was able to convince the judge that that was impossible after professional cleaning and painting. She won but lost almost as much in lost pay and expenses. It was worth it to beat the landlord.
