I'm 11 and there's this guy; he's 18. Most kids my age don't even know what love is. Me on the other hand, well I do. So, he loves me a lot, Age doesn't bother him or me. Although, it's online; Not through a messenger thing. He lives in California and I live in Australia. I know I actually love him. I was talking to my best friend about it and I told her one of the things he said to me so she said "he means he loves you a lot, but doesn't know why" it kind of made things clearer. One of the times him and I were talking he said "i wish that i could be with you irl." I asked why, he said "so that i could hold you and make you feel like your wanted."
I'm just not quite sure if it would work. It seems as if it might, but i'd like to have a second opinion.

Dear, your parents should be REPORTED to DCFS for allowing you to post this nonsense here on Yahoo Questions. At 11 (if you REALLY are only 11) you are FAR TOO YOUNG to be involved in this sort of thing. You are a child and you haven't the faintest idea of what love is, even though you are SURE you do! You need some parental supervision NOW! And if an 18 year old guy likes you in a romantic way, there is SOMETHING MENTALLY WRONG WITH HIM! He sounds like a possible pedophile and an online predator. Stop talking with him NOW!

I hate to be a downer, but look at the 18year olds in your school. Now do any of them day 11 year olds? No. The reason is that an 18 year old is and almost fully developed man, and a 11 year old has probably not even gone through pubity. The only reason that someone that age would be interested in someone your age...is illegal!!!! On the other had, if you truely believe it is love, and love lasts forever, and you will be together forever, wait at least 6 years before you meet him! Am I just a prude or has this world gone a little mad!

this is dangerous girl. He could be a 55 year old grandfather for all you know. Anyone can post an attractive young photo. Even if he really is 18, you are not even old enough to date. Talk to your parents about this you are being very unsafe on the net. You live in 2 different continents!!! Let him go. A mature 18 year old would not have a healthy relationship with an 11 year old. It is called pedophilia.

My heart says, no it will not work, at 11 the 7 year age difference is to much in this time of your life. Without knowing you, you haven't experienced enough of life to make up your mind objectively.
I am wary of a man of 18 saying what an 11 year old likes to hear.
There are some very strange people out there I promise you, wait for some years before you decide anything please.

Ok you're 11 and he's 18? I don't know the rules in Australia but here that's frowned upon! Have you ever even met this pedofile? You're not even a teenager yet. So I really don't think it would work.

Youn are too little to understand love & relationships, This is mere attraction of words by messaging, hence do not get carried away by the sweet pills thrown upon you which could turn sour after swallowing.

He could go to jail for just hanging out with you unsupervised, you're taking a terrible risk in being together. Save money so you can go see him when you're 16.
People in love aren;t going to listen, anyway. Make SURE there's someone else there as a reliable witness(Chaperone) if you ever get together so he won't get in trouble.

In Australia we call men who pretend to love 11 year olds pedophiles and we put them in jail because they are sick individuals who tell little kids things so they can sexually abuse them.
