We're cleaning my apartment in prep to move out. We've cleaned all interiors and scheduled to get carpet shampood. But I noticed that window screens are a bit dusty and the exterior face of window glass needs wiping down. But how can we clean this as we are on the 2nd floor? Is the externals my responsibility or the landlord's? Oh - we stayed here only 3 months.

discover out if there's a tenant's association on the city in NJ. they often will help you on something like this for unfastened. you're able to be able to be sure that an excellent form of the stuff he needs you to pay for falls under the heading of honest positioned on and tear. verify and notice if NJ has a state assets Code. some states specify in the state assets codes what's honest positioned on and tear and what isn't. In some states the valuables code will specify tenant rights. See if there's a time line for him refunding your deposit. if so, he could have ignored the date in view it somewhat is oftentimes 30 days. Do you have a hire? examine the hire heavily.

were they clean when you got the apartment? its different for every management comany. I work for a rather large one, one of the bigger ones in san diego. If we gave a tenant an apartment with clean screens, we'll expect it back clean. If i have to clean it or pay someone to do it im gonna charge you. You should be able to do a walk through with a manager before you give back the keys, ask them, if they say they want them clean, then clean them or ask how much you'll be charged for cleaning.

if they were clean when you moved in, it's only right that you clean them now so the next renter isn't getting dirty screens. If you can't take them out, try the blower side of a vacuum cleaner.
