If you say "Black people eat fried chicken", that is racist and stereotyping. You are ignorant and hateful.

If you say "Japanese people eat sushi", that is celebrating cultural differences.

Very simple. Now don't you feel stupid?

Given that the participants in Yahoo Answers some from a variety of different countries, societies and cultures, perhaps they thought that we might something other than racism or sexism that might be worth talking about.

Although there is sexism and racism on the cultures section, Yahoo, did great by allowing people of different cultures to vent about questions and concerns about one another. Perhaps Yahoo! assumed we would all be mature about it.

It's their website. They can do whatever they want, as long
as it is permitted under the law. There are plenty of websites
that have racism and sexism permitted. Go find them, if you
don't like their rules.
