Sometimes it can be an infection. If it is colorless and odorless, no need to worry. But if it has a foul or fishy odor, or you have itching or discomfort, then you should go see your ob/gyn asap. If you are pregnant, its totally normal. Your body just produces more. Just watch it, and talk to your doctor about it.

Better consult an OB-Gynecologist. There are some discharges which are normal & others which are abnormal. The best way to know which is this is to have a pap smear. 2 days before the procedure, abstain from sex. Once in clinic the OB-gynecologist will be asking you the nature of the discharge, is it whitish, cheesy, yellowish or greenish? is it foul smelling ? does it cause itchiness? You will be asked to remove your underwear & to lie down in the examining table wherein a speculum is used by the Obstetrician in visualizing your cervix. She uses a coton pledget and gets a sample to be placed in the slide. This slide is to be brought to the pathologist by the OB for reading. This slide will be examined under the microscope. The pathologist will tell if this is normal, what organism is it if it is abnormal and it will help the OB-gynecologist in treating you. Some doctors dont wait for the result, after seeing the discharge they will give you medications, usually suppositories to be inserted in the vagina at bedtime. Avoid sexual contact while undergoing treatment. You will be asked to follow up for the official result of the Papsmear.

certainly. almost every pregnancy has some sort of increase in mucus discharge. This partly is due to the fact that your cervix is forming what is known as the mucus plug (which will eventually come out when labor is closer). Also, your have an increase in the hormone estrogen and blood flow to the vagina. There is nothing to say gross about, its just how our bodies work. You shouldn't be concerned unless there is a strong odor to it or it is yellowish in color. That may be a sign of a yeast infection which should be treated as soon as possible during pregnancy. Good luck!

I think every pregnant woman has experienced discharge!( i assume your pregnant because your question is in the pregnancy section)

It is caused by an increase production or estrogen. It's purpose is to protect the birth canal from infection and maintain a healthy balance of bacteria in the vagina.

As long as it is thin, milky, and mild-smelling (sometimes odorless) its perfectly normal!

Are you pregnant? The volume of fluids in your body increases. So, you'll notice more vaginal discharge and at the same time you'll probably notice you are a lot stuffier and having to blow your nose a lot. It is all normal.
