Wear it, enjoy it...then clean it again. What are you saving it for? The Smithonian? or your next wedding?
I don't undrstand why the wedding dress is such a sacred memorial...only to be outgrown and disgarded as a antique rag in future generations.

Sure, why not? Unless you have a daughter you THINK might want to wear it some day for sentimental reasons....but my own is getting married and sooooooo not interested in wearing my 70's look. I did, re-wear mine recently (sort of). Went to fun but unusual bridal shower for my friends daughter...where everyone either had to wear their original wedding dress or a bridesmaids, Mother of the Groom or Bride > if you didn't have a wedding dress to wear. It was the most FUN shower I'd ever been to. I won first prize because where the dress was really snug (over 31 years used) I put duct tape on it where it didn't quite zip up all the way!

I say no, you should keep your wedding dress if you have a daughter you can pass the dress down to her when she get married.
You said it cost 700 dollar that a lot of money.
For Halloween you can go the good well or salvation army and buy a cheap one that would not matter if it gets riped or stained.

my son (3) has seen my wedding photos and asked me to dress up as a princess in my dress for Halloween. There is no way I'm going to wear that thing up and down the street after how much I paid for it. Just getting it cleaned costs a fortune. If you don't plan on keeping or selling it go for it. It does cost a lot to rent a costume anyway. OR go as the runaway bride and just wear the veil a jogging suit and runners.

I don't think I would. A wedding dress is to special to be worn at Halloween...its a symbol of love and commitment between two people. Halloween is ghost, goblins and witches.

it'd make an awesome costume!! Stuff a big pillow and go as a pregnant bride!...the dry cleaners can get all the vomit and cigarette smoke, and cheeseburger stains, and the beer and wine..well, maybe not the wine stains, but dang it it's Halloween! and it only comes ONCE A YEAR! and shoot, it's just a wedding dress..you can always get another, well maybe not another...well the NEXT time you get married, you'll put THAT one away..

I think it might be something to treasure and maybe pass along. I wouldn't wear it as a costume. Maybe you could get a cheap one to use to that end

Dude, just go to the Salvation Army and get a crappy one for $10. Then you can put fake blood on it and stuff.
